Many of them understood my point and now they are offering me bubbly girl roles for which I exactly fit. I think there is enough time for me to do serious type of roles.”

“Right now I am concentrating in learning Telugu language for dubbing my characters with my own voice. Though, it’s difficult to learn the language, I love to learn it. Every day, I am learning some new words from my colleagues in the film units. When, I try to speak in Telugu they make a lot of fun out of it, but encourage me very much. If, I can’t speak in Telugu language, my fans will be disappointed. At least to communicate with my fans, I should be able to speak in Telugu.”

Raviteja to Romance Three Babes

Ravi Teja has recently launched new flick titled ‘Veera’. Ravi Teja is said to romance with three heroines in this flick. However, the cast of the film are not revealed yet.

Veera will be directed by Ramesh Varma, who earlier directed Ride and will be produced by Ganesh Indukuri under Tolly2Holly Films banner. On this event, the producer of the film, Ganesh Indukuri said, “This movie will become a prestigious one under our banner. We are going to rope in three heroines for the film. The film is scheduled for a release this summer. Not just huge cast, the film has also got high technical values.”

Apart from the direction Ramesh varma will be handling the story and screenplay, dialogues are penned by Paruchuri Brothers. Chota K Naidu handles the cinematography, art is by Narayana Reddy, editing is by Martand K Venkatesh Action will be choreographed by Ram-Lakshman and the music will be scored by Devi Sri Prasad

Hot Actress Planning to Direct a Film

Tollywood heroine Tabu , who is nearing her retirement stage in her film career, is very rarely appearing in the films. With no films in the hand she is now writing a story and planning to make a film with it very soon. She said, “I have done several serious type roles till now. I am fed doing repeatedly the same kind of roles. That’s why I am not accepting any new offers with same kind of roles.

In the mean time, I start writing a story for my film. I am planning to make a film with my story. First, I learn how to become a good producer and then I take charge as a director of the film. I think, it won’t take much time to become a film producer, but very difficult to become a director. Once, my story is ready, and then I will decide when to start my film shooting. I am writing the film story during my journeys to save the time. Hope, it may be finished very soon.”

When, she has plenty of time to write the story in her own house, why is she saying that she is writing the story in journeys? Does she want to bluff the people that she is a busy actress and have no time to breathe?

Sruthi Hassan Demands 25 Lakhs for That!

It is already known that Shruti Haasan has reportedly signed the project opposite Siddharth which will be directed by popular Telugu filmmaker Prakash, son of the legendary film-maker, K.Raghavendra Rao.

Now, the news is that Shruti Haasan has demanded Rs.25 lakhs for her role in this film and, K.Prakash has paid her the remuneration that the actress demanded. To be frank, the amount Shruti demanded is high for just one film old actress. However, Prakash might have felt that Shruti is apt for this role. According to the sources she’s playing the role of an ‘Angel’ in the flick. The film is said to have loads of visual effects and graphics.

Bramhi - The Highest paid Comedian in Tollywood

It’s not a surprise that no big budget tollywood movie is without the star comedian Brahmanandam. He is the highest paid comedian in the industry which is almost equivalent to the heroines and few of the hero’s remuneration.

According to sources, the actor has charged a whopping Rs. 1 cr. for ‘Namo Venkatesa’ and Rs. 80 lacs for ‘Adhurs’ which were released for this Pongal. The figures tell us the kind of attraction Brahmanandam has.

Sources also say that, this is third time in last one year that the actor has hiked his remuneration. “Today, no movie can be made without comedy. Its prominence is increasing with every release and making the audience laugh has become the biggest aim. I’ve been flooded with offers lately and to put a tab on the number of films I take up, I’ve increased my remuneration now,” said Brahmanandam.

It has become real hard for the small budget producers to rope in the star comedian.

Prasthanam Releasing in February!

Prasthanam starring Sharwanand, Ruby, Sandeep Kishan and Saikumar in the lead roles will be hitting the screens in the month of February. The movie was supposed to release in the month of December but got postponed due to several reasons. The story is based on a political back drop.

Dadasaheb award for VK Murthy

Eminent cinematographer VK Murthy has been chosen for the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke award this year. VK Murthy has worked with Guur Dutt and was he cinematographer for all his films. Murthy also worked with such masters like Shyam Benegal.

Murthey worked for films like Pyaasa, Pakeeza and Razia Sultana. The 90 years old Murthy hails from Bengaluru. He was the cinematographer for the first 700mm film in India ‘Kagaz Ke Phool’.

Ramcharan’s forth coming film ‘Orange’ is filled with loads of surprises. Sources say that the director of the movie, ‘Bommarillu’ Bhasker is planning to rope in Powerstar Pawan Kalyan and Tamil hero Vijay to do guest roles in this movie. The characters are planned to be limited for just few minutes. However, the actors have not yet confirmed the news. Magadheera Completed 175 Days Boxoffice report On 21st Jan 2010

Magadheera have completed 175 days run in three centers. The movie have released in highest number of theaters to any Telugu movie so far and witnessed 302 direct 50 days centers and 225 direct centers for 100 days as all time India record. The movie have affected few 175 days centers with the protests held in Telangana region. Even the movie have completed 175 days in bellow centers. Magadheera is the biggest hit of south cinema which have grossed about 110 crores.

Avatar crosses $1 Billion mark Boxoffice report On 5th Jan 2010

"Avatar" crossed the US $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office after three weekends in release, making it the fourth-biggest movie of all time.

James Cameron's epic action adventure earned $1.02 billion, with a collection of $202 million during the New Year holiday weekend.

The only movies ahead of it are Cameron's "Titanic" ($1.8 billion), "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" ($1.12 billion), and "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" ($1.07 billion).

"This is like a freight train out of control," said Fox distribution executive Bert Livingston. "It just keeps on going."

India collections soaring high
In India, the film has crossed collections of Rs 67 crores, already making it the second biggest Hollywood film ever in India after ‘2012’. And with 3D screens continuing to go houseful and collections rising steadily across India, the film is well on its way to surpassing collections of 2012.

Avatar is now also the biggest ever film for Fox in India after breaking Titanic’s record collections of Rs 55 crores.

Is NTTR Marrying a Minor

The proposed marriage of popular Telugu film actor Junior NTR with a relative of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N. Chandrababu Naidu has created a row with claims that the girl is minor.

Shanti Prasad, a lawyer, Friday approached Machilipatnam Legal Services Authority claiming that Narne Lakshmi Pranati was a minor and thus her marriage would be illegal.

The authority issued notices to Junior NTR, Naidu and the girl’s father Narne Srinivas Rao, who owns Telugu news channel Studio N. The hearing was adjourned to Feb 24.

Pranati is the daughter of Naidu’s niece Narne Mallika. Sources close to the family of the bride-to-be, however, clarified that she would turn 18 on March 26 and marriage would take place only after that.

The minimum legal age for a girl in India is 18 years.
The sources also clarified that the clippings of Pranati being shown on television channels were recorded a couple of years ago.

Former chief minister Naidu Thursday confirmed that the young actor would soon tie the knot.

Junior NTR, 27, is the grandson of thespian, TDP founder and former chief minister N.T. Rama Rao, who was popularly known as NTR. Naidu is the son-in-law of NTR.

Junior NTR, son of N. Harikrishna, is one of the leading actors of Telugu cinema and has churned several hit movies since he made his debut in 2001.

Charmy to marry a Punjabi Business man

The latest buzz is that Tollywood charming beauty Charmy is going to marry a Delhi based Punjabi Business man very soon. It is learnt that during the idle time in the recent past, she went to her native place in Punjab, where her parents and family members insisted her for marriage. They have proposed her a Delhi based businessman who said to be interested in her. Though, she didn’t leave any hint about the purpose of her visit to anyone, the unconfirmed news comes out through one of her pub-friends at Hyderabad. However, Charmy is denying the news as a baseless mere rumour.

Allu Aravind Film Studio in Mumbai

The latest buzzing news is that Allu Aravind is planning to build a film studio in Mumbai city. The prevailing situation in Telangana region made him think about some alternative arrangement for his film production. On the other hand he said to be planning to spread his business to North India also. The success of his Hindi film Gajni inspired him to expand his business to Bollywood also.

Ram Charan Tej’s entry into Bollywood and his latest hit film Magadheera remaking into Hindi are two other reasons which encouraged him to think about building a Studio of his own. Moreover, if he had a Studio of his own, it would be helpful to him in remaking his Telugu films. It is learnt that, there are many film directors and producers who are ready to join him in his proposed venture, as all of them very well know that investing in Allu’s Studio means multiplying their investment in no time. Whether he likes to share his business with outsiders or not is to be observed.

However, if he had a Studio at Mumbai, it will not be idle for a single day as there is a high demand for a full fledged Studio. The revenue generated by giving his Studio for shootings is another aspect in his business strategy. All these reasons are enough for him to build a Studio in Mumbai. Mahesh Babu to Remake 3 Idiots

Aamir khan’s super hit movie that is receiving good applauses at the box-office ‘3 Idiots’ is planned for a remake in telugu and tamil.

The original version has become a block buster hit at the box-office and is ready to beat the collections of Aamir Khan’s ‘Ghajini’.

The remake rights were acquired by Gemini Films Circuit which had previously produced Munnabhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munnabhai. Gemini Films Circuit had acquired it for a whopping sum of Rs.10 crores.

Industry is at buzz that the production house is planning to approach either Mahesh Babu or Pawan Kalyan for the lead role in this movie since the two heroes will well-suit for this role and they have immense fan-following across the state. However official declaration is yet to be made.
