Veturi Sundararama Murthy Passed Away - Died of Heart Attack

Veturi Sundararama Murthy (29 January 1936 - 22 May 2010) (popularly known as Veturi) is a Telug poet more popular for his film songs. He is a disciple of the legendary Viswanatha Satyanarayna.

Early life

Veturi was born in kolluru near Tenali located in Guntur district in AP, in a Telugu Brahmin family.

Career

While working as a journalist, Veturi got his first break in movies through Dr.K.Viswanath. Later, he would go on to pen hundreds of songs. NT Rama Rao, the legendary actor of Telugu movies, did a number of movies with him.

He worked as journalist for prominent magazines like Andhra Patrika and Andhra Prabha before becoming a lyricist. Veturi wrote a large variety of songs ranging from classic poetry to the folk and mass ones. He is also the second lyricist from Telugu film indurstry to win the National Film Award for Best Lyrics for the song Raalipoye puvva neeku ragaalenduke from the Movie Maathrudevobhava in the year 1994. However, he gave back the award since Telugu was not recognized as an ancient language.

Veturi is a relative of the late Sri Veturi Prabhakara Sastri.

The great lyricist died of heart attack in Care Hospitals, Hyderabad on 22nd May 2010.

Kites Review - Hrithik Lip Lock with Barbara - Wallpapers

The much hyped 'Kites' movie may fail to impress the Indian audiences. Nicely shot, but badly scripted 'Kites' had very few elements of entertainment. Rakesh Roshan has miserable to justify the character of 'Jai' (Hrithik Roshan), a poor US-citizen living in posh Las Vegas. He was first shown as con who marries illegal immigrants for just $ 1000 to enable them to get Green Cards. He falls in love with Linda alias Natasha (Barbara Mori), his 11th wife.

A non-existent love story blossoms between the two after Natasha's engagement with Tony, son of a rich Vegas businessman (Kabir Bedi). Hrithik 'falls in love' with 'Gina' (Kangna Rawat), sister of Tony.

The story telling was boring due to lack of rhythm and bad usage of flashbacks. Hrithik's character was confusing. Otherwise a con, 'Jai' falls in love with his 'legal wife' Linda and tries to seduce her a day before her marriage with Tony on the pretext of giving divorce.

Later, Jai and Natasha elopes leading to a long and boring sequence of chase by Tony and his goons. Though the action sequences were shot very nicely, but at places they were overdone. Comedy was completely missing from the script. Hrithik's impressive dance on unimpressive songs was the only consolation for the viewers.

The language was badly used. More than half of the dialogues in the movie were in English or Spanish (with English sub-titles). It seems that this movie has not been made for the Indian audiences as this is definitely not a Hindi movie. The end is more disappointing. In a complete Hindi filmi style, the Spanish character Natasha commits suicide to save herself from the villain Tony. Later, Jai survive's a bullet shot only to commit suicide in the next scene.

We think audience can try this movie, only if they have lot of patience. If i have to rate it, i will give it only one star (for Hrithik's dance(only one bit) and Barbara's looks)

Shriya was robbed while traveling on a local train

Heroine Shriya faced a bad experience while shooting of a Don Seenu in Spain. The actress was robbed while traveling on a local train in Barcelona in Spain.
 
Shriya did shopping in Barcelona with her friends in a shopping mall and was returning back to the resort. Everyone took the train back to the hotel and mid way, we suddenly realized that we have been robbed on the train itself says shriya. Nothing very expensive was lost, some curios for the house, a couple of bags and shoes.

Prince Mahesh Babu with Rajamouli

Prince Mahesh Babu is going to act under the direction of Mega director SS Rajamouli. These two had a series of discussions for a couple of days recently and decided at a strategic agreement to do a film together but it takes time to materialize this project.
 

Presently director Rajamoli directing Maryada Ramanna film with Sunil and his next project is with Prabhas. Mahesh Babu presently doing a film with Trivikram Srinivas and his next film will be directed by Sreenu Vytla. He has also announced another flick titled ‘Mr. Perfect’ in the direction of Surender Reddy.
 
So Mahesh Babu Film with Rajamouli is not going to start in this year.

Sonam and Rana Daggubati not friends anymore?

Sonam Kapoor and popular south star Rana Daggubati (son of producer Suresh Naidu and the nephew of actor Venkatesh) were friends at a point in time. Rana made his debut early this year in the Telugu film Leader. He makes his B-Town entry with Rohan Sippy’s Dum Maro Dum.
 
The actress and Rana became friends as their dads have known each other for years. Anil Kapoor has worked in several of D Ramanaidu’s films and the two families are quite close.
 
Sonam and Rana met for the first time during Milind Deora and Pooja Shetty’s wedding reception in 2008 where they exchanged numbers and stayed in touch. Whenever Rana was in the city, he would try and catch up with Sonam.
 
However, their friendship didn’t last too long. Even though there was nothing romantic between the two, the actress was a bit perturbed after she heard that Rana had a long-standing history of befriending girls and then pulling a disappearing act. After that Sonam took a step back and downgraded him from a friend to an acquaintance.
 
A source reveals, "When Rana and Sonam were friends, everyone thought their friendship might develop into something more. However, that never happened."
 
Sonam however maintains that they are still friends. She says, "Rana is a family friend and a brother."
